About The Position

Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity. Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis. May be assigned independent responsibilities by Lead Technologist, Administrative Director, or Operations Manager. Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required. May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Operations Manager or Lead Technologist. Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems. Demonstrates ability to operate and trouble shoot CR, DR and PACs applications. Attends annual mandatory education to include blood borne pathogens, infection control, and body substance isolation. Maintains department competencies as required. Must have excellent patient care skills. Must be current with all continuing education for both radiology and mammography.

Requirements

  • Proficient in both X-ray and Mammography specialties.
  • 2 Years X-Ray experience, 1 YEAR CURRENT EXPERIENCE [REQUIRED]
  • 2 Years Current MAMMOGRAPHY experience [REQUIRED]
  • ARRT (R) Certification - [Required]
  • ARRT (M) Certification - [Required]
  • Must be willing to work weekends and evenings.
  • Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need.
  • MA Radiology license or application of same [REQUIRED]
  • Active American Heart Association BLS - [REQUIRED]
  • Active American Registration of Radiologic Technologists ARRT - [REQUIRED]

  • Work posted schedule, including weekends and evenings.
  • Work TWO blocks (if scheduled/needed): Thanksgiving Day/Friday after and weekend after Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and weekend after New Year Eve through New Year Day and weekend after.
  • Complete 8hrs non-billable orientation.
