About The Position

As a Quality Assurance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that products and processes comply with quality standards. You will work closely with the production and maintenance teams, as well as with production managers, to ensure that finished products have no defects and meet customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Degree in food quality, food science and technology, or a related field.
  • Bilingual, FR & EN
  • Knowledge of quality control methods and related tools (calibration, measuring instruments, etc.).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ISO standards and other applicable quality standards.
  • Ability to analyze data and draft reports.
  • Meticulousness and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and managing non-conformances.
  • Customer focus.
  • The candidate has to be available on at least 2 different shifts: 4X10 Day, 4X10 Evening, 3x12 Day, 3x12 Night.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a similar role is an asset, but entry-level candidates with the appropriate training are also invited to apply.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills (an asset).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular sensory evaluations of products during manufacturing and finished products to ensure they meet established quality standards.
  • Test products to verify that they meet established specifications and standards.
  • Identify, analyze, and address non-conformances in collaboration with the production teams. Suggest corrective or preventive actions when necessary.
  • Contribute to production process optimization to improve quality and reduce errors.
  • Train and educate production teams on quality best practices.
  • Take part in standard operating procedure reviews and/or development.
  • Assist in handling and investigating customer complaints.
  • Take part in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to reduce process variations and prevent defects.
  • Conduct audits to identify discrepancies that could affect product quality.
  • Track non-conformance reports from creation to resolution, documenting all actions and follow-ups.
  • Track measurement equipment and tools, and verify periodic calibration.
  • Collect product samples, analyze the data, and send reports to our partners.
