About The Position

Sonepar Canada is currently looking for an administrative professional to join its finance team. We are looking for a motivated, curious individual ready to make their mark! As a member of the team, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the financial activities of one of the largest electrical equipment distributors in Canada and the world, while developing your skills in a dynamic and stimulating environment. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or DEC in accounting, or equivalent accounting experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position, ideally within a retail or distribution company
• Excellent computer skills, particularly with Excel and ERP systems
• Good communication skills, teamwork, resourcefulness, and ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Good command of French and English, both written and spoken

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of IFRS is an asset

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting records and record journal entries, including accrued expenses and prepaid expenses
• Compile financial data
• Analyze income statements and balance sheet accounts
• Perform financial reconciliations
• Coordinate with the various operating companies to calculate and record journal entries
• Respond to various information requests and maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders
• Perform routine treasury tasks
• Participate in process improvement initiatives
• Participate in the Group's reporting process
• Participate in various ad hoc requests
