Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting (required)
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel and office tools
  • Knowledge of accounting standards (ASPE / IFRS)
  • Rigor, autonomy, analytical mindset, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment
  • Bilingual French-English

Nice To Haves

  • CPA designation completed or in progress (an asset)
  • Experience in a technology company or video game studio is an asset
  • Strong asset: experience with Workday (finance or HR)
  • Knowledge of an ERP or accounting software: a plus

Responsibilities

  • Support the Controller / Chief Accountant across their full range of responsibilities and contribute to the smooth running of the complete accounting cycle
  • Prepare and record journal entries (accruals, prepaids, depreciation, payroll, etc.)
  • Actively participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closes
  • Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger account analysis
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and monthly management reports
  • Prepare government remittances (GST/QST, source deductions) and support tax filings
  • Process intercompany transactions with the group's international entities
  • Support the team during external audits (preparing working papers, responding to auditors)
  • Review and support the accounting clerk's work (accounts payable and receivable)
  • Validate payroll following the data entry performed by the Human Resources team
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and sound practices
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement and the optimization of tools (ERP / Workday)
  • Collaborate with production and human resources teams to ensure the accuracy of project-related financial data
