About The Position
The person in the Technician position will be responsible for performing various daily tasks on the infrastructure and facilities to support the Club's activities in an optimal and safe manner as well as ensuring set up of all required materials in preparation for various events. This person will also be required to work on the Club's various operational sites and events.
Requirements
- Personality! Proactive, resourceful, rigorous, with a strong sense of teamwork
- Hold a professional diploma in general building maintenance combined with one year of relevant experience
- Good knowledge of general building maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, electricity, painting, etc
- Strong skills for manual tasks, outdoor work, and lifting
- Great ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, autonomously, and work under pressure within tight deadlines
- Have a valid class 5 driver's license
- Be available during the day, evening, and weekends, according to the match and event schedule
Nice To Haves
- Experience in event operations (an asset)
- Hold a workplace first aid certificate (an asset)
- Hold a forklift operator certificate (an asset)
Responsibilities
- Ensure the proper functioning of equipment and infrastructure daily
- Perform daily inspections of facilities for compliance
- Diagnose system malfunctions and report them to the operations supervisor
- Set up and dismantle installations for all Club locations
- Participate in the preparation of matches or any other event locations that CF Montreal requires activities for
- Perform seasonal transitions between establishments: winterization, relocation, etc
- Perform maintenance and repair work such as carpentry, equipment repair, and maintenance
- Perform basic system maintenance, such as plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning
- Perform painting and plastering work
- Receive supplies and equipment
- Provide access and supervise suppliers
- Support the operations team
- Eliminate and prevent any health and safety risks at work
- Comply with organizational policies and procedures
- Actively participate in the continuous improvement of resources, processes, and working methods
- Perform any other related tasks
