About The Position
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Technician to perform preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex equipment repairs safely and effectively to minimize downtime. The fleet varies by location and primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty-line locations may also have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas-related equipment. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of equipment makes and models, develop skills for a career track in service or operations management, and work with a safety-focused team. Some trade school or equivalent training is desired. The physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting skills.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- May need to provide tools of the trade.
Nice To Haves
- Some trade school or equivalent training is desired.
- Five or more years of Technician experience with similar diesel equipment, heavy equipment, or specialty-lines equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil and gas equipment is strongly preferred.
