About The Position
Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Technician to perform preventive maintenance, advanced diagnostics, and complex repairs on equipment in a safe and effective manner to minimize downtime. The fleet varies by location and primarily includes aerial work platforms and general construction tools and equipment. Specialty-line locations may also service large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas equipment. This role offers opportunities to work on a variety of equipment makes and models, develop skills for a career track in service or operations management, and work with a safety-focused team. The position may require providing tools of the trade and requires flexibility as priorities change in a fast-paced environment. Physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Advanced knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
- Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- The role requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors when required.
Nice To Haves
- Some trade school or equivalent training is desired.
- Five or more years of technician experience with similar diesel equipment, heavy equipment, or specialty-lines equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil and gas equipment is strongly preferred.
- May need to provide tools of the trade.
