About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Technician 1 to perform preventive maintenance and repair equipment safely and effectively to minimize downtime. The fleet varies by location and primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty-line locations may also have large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas-related equipment. The role offers experience with a variety of equipment and opportunities to develop skills for a career in service or operations management, working as part of a safety-focused team. The physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
May need to provide tools of the trade.
Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language) may be required depending on location.
Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, lift 50 pounds or more, and work indoors or outdoors as required.

Nice To Haves

Some trade school or equivalent training is desired.
One to three years of technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty-line equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil and gas equipment is strongly preferred.
