About The Position

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Technician 1 to perform preventive maintenance and repair equipment safely and effectively to minimize downtime. The fleet varies by location and primarily includes aerial work platforms, general construction tools, and equipment. Specialty-line locations may also have large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas equipment. The role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of equipment and develop skills for a career path in service or operations management in a safety-focused environment. Physical demands include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required. Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
May need to provide tools of the trade.
Bilingual ability in Spanish or another language may be required depending on location needs.
Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, lift 50 pounds or more, and work indoors or outdoors when required.

Nice To Haves

Some trade school or equivalent training is desired.
One to three years of Technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty-lines equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil and gas equipment is strongly preferred.
