About The Position

The Technician 1 performs preventive maintenance and repairs on rental equipment in the safest and most effective way possible to minimize downtime. Equipment varies by location and may include aerial work platforms, general construction tools and equipment, or specialty equipment such as large-scale power generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil and gas equipment. The role may require providing personal tools of the trade and working indoors or outdoors as needed. The position involves physical activity, including bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
May need to provide tools of the trade.
Bilingual ability (Spanish or another language) may be required depending on location.
Ability to bend, squat, crouch, reach, and lift 50 pounds or more; work indoors or outdoors when required.

Nice To Haves

Some trade school or equivalent training is desired.
One to three years of technician experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty-lines equipment such as large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or oil and gas equipment is strongly preferred.
