About The Position
Florida Eye Specialists is seeking dedicated Ophthalmic Technicians for its growing practice. The role performs advanced technical ophthalmic procedures, measurements, and tests to provide physicians with data and assist in patient care. The position may require travel to multiple locations based on clinic needs. No experience is necessary, and the practice is willing to train the right person. Florida Eye Specialists provides eye care in the greater Jacksonville area and has several locations in and around Jacksonville. Its physicians and staff share a commitment to excellence in eye care, supported by physicians’ medical training and work in eye-disease research and education. Starting pay is based on experience.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of medical terminology, preferably ophthalmology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact with patients and employees courteously and professionally at all times.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and function well in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role preferred.
- COA or COT certification preferred.
