Technician - Mitigation
About The Position
As a Technician, you will respond to restoration and disaster recovery projects as part of a team, helping restore homes, businesses, and properties after unexpected events. You will assist with project and demolition site activities, follow established procedures, and use industry-specific tools and equipment to complete work safely and effectively. You will work with teammates to complete assigned tasks, maintain a clean and organized work area, and follow First Onsite policies and procedures. The role also involves basic computer work for required documentation and project communications, and learning proper techniques for operating restoration equipment and tools. Safety is a priority: technicians follow work-safe practices, company safety programs, and applicable legislative requirements while working at restoration and demolition sites.
Requirements
- Possess or be able to obtain Water Mitigation Certification within one year.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license required.

- Restoration experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with water, fire, and mold mitigation, light demolition, and equipment setup.
- Maintain clean, stocked, and response-ready company vehicles.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe job site.
- Support project documentation, photos, and daily reports.
- Track expenses and time, and complete necessary work orders.
- Perform physical labor, debris removal, and material handling.
- Provide flexible support across multiple service lines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow company policies and procedures.
- Use basic computer skills to complete documentation and communicate project information.
- Learn and apply proper techniques for operating restoration equipment and tools.
