The Technician Production Operations is responsible for following established procedures for in vivo antibody production, performing routine animal care and husbandry activities in large and small animal species, and performing facility maintenance including PMs and skid steer operation. This position reports to the Supervisor, Animal Operations and is part of the Animal Operations Facility located in Maple Plain, MN and will be an on-site role.

Requirements

  • AA Degree or higher degree, with 1+ years of experience
  • Ability to work with a variety of large and small animal species
  • Ability to perform facility maintenance, routine repairs, and operate a skid steer
  • Ability to frequently stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs; ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including outdoors and in an animal barn environment

Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and follow established work instructions and procedures with emphasis on quality and compliance with regulations (USDA, FDA, GMP, and ISO) and high animal welfare standards
  • Perform facility maintenance activities including scheduled PMs, routine repairs, coordination with outside contractors, and operation of skid steer
  • Independently and as a team execute work regarding in vivo antibody production, including injections, venipuncture, serum processing, and routine animal husbandry
