The Technician Production Operations is responsible for following established procedures for in vivo antibody production as well as routine animal care and husbandry in large and small animal species. This position reports to the Supervisor, Animal Operations and is part of the Animal Operations Facility located in Maple Plain, MN and will be an on-site role.

Requirements

  • AA Degree or higher degree, with 1+ years of experience
  • Ability to work with a variety of large and small animal species
  • Ability to work within established procedures with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to frequently stand, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs; ability to work in a variety of environmental conditions, including outdoors and in an animal barn environment

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in farm or other large animal operations
  • Previous experience in regulated industry and/or animal laboratory environments (e.g. USDA, FDA)

Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and follow established work instructions and procedures with emphasis on quality and compliance with regulations (USDA, FDA, GMP, and ISO) and high animal welfare standards
  • Independently and as a team execute work regarding in vivo antibody production, including injections, venipuncture, serum processing, antibody quantification, and animal husbandry
  • Provide operations support by performing preventative maintenance, managing equipment calibrations, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
