As a Technician Production Manager in Training, you’ll embark on a structured development program designed to prepare you for success as a Technician Production Manager. Requirements

Ability to read, interpret, and maintain accurate data records for production processes.
Completion of CarMax-provided training across all production areas.
Strong multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
May require walking or standing for an extended period of time.
Effective communication skills for interacting with associates and customers across departments.
Proficiency in basic computer applications for operational tasks.

Nice To Haves

1 year of experience as a Manager or Automotive Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

Ensure proper staffing across technician positions to maintain smooth operations.
Manage vehicle flow through the reconditioning process.
Achieve production targets for mechanical work zones while maintaining CarMax quality standards.
Monitor technician billed hours per unit to meet company benchmarks.
Oversee mechanical inspection approvals and prioritize vehicles using CarMax internal systems.
Drive associate engagement through Associate Care and Communication (AC&C) tools such as round tables and one-on-ones, and lead performance management feedback sessions and development plans
Responsible for the Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) program for your department and/or location, including but not limited to self-inspections, hazardous waste disposal, workplace safety, and PPE.
