About The Position

This position is primarily for Press Machine Operators. The Production Technician will operate production machinery, such as a Sewing Machine, Cutter, Press, Screen Printer, etc. to produce high quality products in the required timeframe. The role involves visually inspecting for defects according to Quality Systems Manual and floor inspection procedures, and notifying production support if problems occur. The technician will serve as a positive role model consistent with Polo Custom Product’s corporate culture, and collaborate with team members and the Supervisor to help the team achieve goals. Responsibilities include preparing and tagging production parts in process, using shop aids for random inspection, and recording accurate counts and rejects of daily production onto paper forms or the ShopTrak system. The role requires rotating throughout the department/team as necessary to achieve objectives, installing raw materials manually during the production process, and providing cost-saving suggestions and ideas to improve production and eliminate waste.

• Experience in manufacturing environment helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install raw materials (e.g., zippers, solvents, buckles, etc.) manually during the production process.
• Provide cost saving suggestions and ideas to improve production and eliminate waste.
