About The Position

Hikma Pharmaceuticals USA Inc. is seeking a talented and motivated Technician, Metrology Calibration to work in a laboratory environment. The technician applies measurement science and mathematics to calibrate inspection, measurement, and test (IM&T) equipment and ensure it meets accuracy and precision requirements. The role also involves collecting, analyzing, and summarizing calibration data; preparing calibration reports; adapting calibration equipment for new or unusual measurement tasks; and correcting identified measurement errors. The position is full-time and onsite in Bedford, Ohio, on the 1st shift. The hourly rate is $32, with compensation determined during the interview process based on factors including location, experience, knowledge, skills, business needs, and market factors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of algebra to solve measurement-related issues and determine how to address measurement errors.
• Knowledge of basic electronics.
• Basic computer skills, including Word and Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Technical school education preferred.
• One year of instrumentation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compare measuring-device readings with established standards and adjust devices to achieve proper output.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production instruments when necessary.
• Manage and maintain documentation of calibrations and investigations for potential calibrations.
• Assist with maintaining production instrumentation and calibrate production equipment, including temperature, pressure, and humidity transmitters, autoclaves, ovens, conductivity equipment, balances, and load cells.
• Research and recommend new equipment or parts.
• Train colleagues in calibration procedures and maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of production equipment instrumentation.
• Advise other departments on technical matters.
• Attend work onsite regularly and predictably, and be punctual.
• Lift and maneuver weights up to 25 kg.
