About The Position

The Technician-Materials Management delivers supplies to user departments, processes requests for stock items, and maintains patient care equipment. The role also performs receiving and storeroom functions, linen distribution functions as directed, and other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Knowledge of medical and non-medical supplies.
• Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral, and verbal formats.
• Ability to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience working with patient care supplies and equipment.
• Previous experience in medical supplies, including the ability to calculate usage and demand and knowledge of basic purchasing procedures.
• Working knowledge of a Materials Management Information System and general warehouse or storeroom operations.
• One year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver supplies to user departments.
• Maintain inventory control for assigned areas to ensure customer supply needs are met.
• Process requests for stock items.
• Perform data entry relating to the patient charge sheet process.
• Maintain patient care equipment.
• Perform receiving and storeroom functions.
• Perform linen distribution functions as directed.
• Perform related accountabilities and responsibilities as required or directed.
• Complete assigned goals.
