About The Position

This position is for 2nd shift 3pm - 11:30pm. The role involves following all Plant and Safety Rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. The technician will perform general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and equipment. This includes troubleshooting hydraulic systems, performing electrical, plumbing, and painting tasks, and troubleshooting/repairing production equipment, compressors, boilers, and other ancillary equipment. The role also requires working with other maintenance and production employees to troubleshoot problems and researching, selecting, and ordering parts and supplies as necessary. The ability to work varying shifts, times, weekends, and handle possible emergency situations is essential. Other work as deemed appropriate by Supervisor, Manager, or Lead employees will also be part of the responsibilities.

Requirements

  • General knowledge to troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
  • Mechanical: General knowledge and troubleshooting skills for belts, drives, sheaves, chain, etc. any other general power transmission system.
  • Safety: Knowledge of safety practices within maintenance field.
  • Ability to work varying shifts, times, weekends and possible emergency situations.
  • Regularly required to stand; walk; kneel on hard surfaces; use hands/fingers to handle equipment.
  • Regularly required to communicate with other personnel on the production floor.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to work varying shifts, times, weekends and possible emergency situations.
  • Perform other work as deemed appropriate by Supervisor, Manager, or Lead employees.
