About The Position
The Technician, Log-In receives samples for the Chemistry and Microbiology departments and enters them into the Bluephire LIMS system. The role also handles incoming laboratory supplies, verifies sample documentation, follows up with clients about missing or inaccurate information, and ensures samples are placed in designated temperature-controlled locations. The technician documents work in accordance with cGMP and maintains an orderly work area.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- General knowledge of chemistry and/or microbiology.
- Knowledge of various analytical techniques and methodologies.

- Associate’s degree in a science-related field or technical area.
Responsibilities
- Receive and log samples into the Bluephire LIMS system.
- Email clients to confirm sample receipt.
- Notify the laboratory of incoming rush samples.
- Receive chemicals, reagents, and other laboratory supplies, and record them in Bluephire LIMS and the inventory management system.
- Review documentation to ensure required information is complete and correct, including report-to and invoice-to information and lot-number verification.
- Log controlled substances immediately upon receipt and notify appropriate laboratory personnel so samples can be secured in the safe.
- Contact clients when required information is missing or inaccurate.
- Follow up with clients daily regarding pending items.
- Add data sets to assignments when all required information is present.
- Forward missing tests, methods, or specifications to the department for review.
- Place samples in designated temperature-controlled locations or refrigerators.
- Provide backup for Department Review, when applicable.
- Support Department Review in shipping samples to other laboratories.
- Document activities in accordance with cGMP.
- Maintain an orderly work area.
