The Corporate teams provide expert knowledge from functions including Human Resources, Information Technology, Compliance, Finance, QHSE, Marketing and Legal centers of expertise, structured to provide guidance and service to all business operations. The Technician Level 2 role involves conducting repairs, service, and preventative maintenance work on generators and other types of equipment, performing these tasks both in the shop and on customer sites. The role requires troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, conducting routine inspections, completing service reports, documenting work, and collaborating with customers to provide technical support and resolve issues. An after-hours on-call schedule is required once fully trained.

Requirements

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments
  • Must have knowledge of theory, principles and repairs relating to internal combustion engines, electrical circuits and mechanical mechanisms.
  • Experience in repairing various types of machinery and equipment
  • Capability to lift heavy objects as required
  • Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and diagrams
  • Skills in providing technical support and troubleshooting issues
  • Skilled in the use of test equipment and well versed in the use of computers.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in mechanic work or equipment repair preferred.
  • New or recent technical school graduates also encouraged to apply.
  • Experience in repairing generators or power systems preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for conducting repairs, service and preventative maintenance work on generators and other types of equipment once properly trained.
  • Perform equipment repairs and maintenance in the shop and on customer sites
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery and equipment
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure proper functioning of equipment
  • Complete service reports and document all work performed
  • Collaborate with customers to provide technical support and resolve any issues
  • After hours on call schedule once fully trained.
