About The Position

Responsible for conducting repairs, service and preventative maintenance work on generators and other types of equipment once properly trained. Perform equipment repairs and maintenance in the shop and on customer sites. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with machinery and equipment. Conduct routine inspections to ensure proper functioning of equipment. Complete service reports and document all work performed. Collaborate with customers to provide technical support and resolve any issues. After hours on call schedule once fully trained.

Requirements

• Knowledge of theory, principles and repairs relating to internal combustion engines, electrical circuits and mechanical mechanisms.
• Experience in repairing various types of machinery and equipment.
• Capability to lift heavy objects as required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and diagrams.
• Skills in providing technical support and troubleshooting issues.
• Skilled in the use of test equipment and well versed in the use of computers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in physically demanding environments.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in mechanic work or equipment repair.
• Experience in repairing generators or power systems.
• New or recent technical school graduates.
