About The Position

Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Technician III where safety and people are core values. They offer competitive pay starting at $35.80 to $43/Hr, paid weekly, with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM, and overtime based on business needs. The role is located in Montebello, CA. Sunstate is a proud Second Chance employer that evaluates every candidate on a case-by-case basis.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years’ experience as a diesel mechanic, with a construction, heavy equipment, or equipment rental background.
  • Must have the tools needed to perform repairs.
  • Experience with diesel and gas engines as well as drivetrains.
  • Experience performing preventative maintenance, major, and minor repairs on hydraulic, electrical, ignition, pneumatic systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostics skills; experience with electrical, hydraulic, fuel systems, ignition, and drivetrain.
  • A DOT medical card is required.
  • Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs on heavy equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, major, and minor repairs on hydraulic, electrical, ignition, and pneumatic systems.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical, hydraulic, fuel systems, ignition, and drivetrain.
  • Maintain a safe driving record as you may be in the on-call rotation.
