Requirements
- A minimum of 2 to 3+ years’ experience as a diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment rental background preferred.
- Intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems.
- Experience performing major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, as well as drive trains is required.
- Must have the necessary tools you need to do the job; averaging $5,000+ in value.
- Team-player, you work well supporting your team to achieve goals.
- You are a self-starter and motivated to be successful.
Nice To Haves
- Construction equipment rental background preferred.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
- Perform routine service on equipment which includes checking fluid levels, changing fluid and lubricating.
- Perform major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, as well as drive trains.
- Perform novice level welding repairs (MIG & SMAW).
- Prepare and maintain accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment, including warranty records.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems.
