We are seeking a detail-oriented CAD Designer to support our land development team in delivering high-quality residential projects. This role plays a key part in translating engineering concepts into construction-ready plans, working closely with project managers and engineers across all phases of design. This is an excellent opportunity for a developing professional to expand their technical expertise in Civil 3D while contributing to impactful land development projects.

Requirements

Minimum of high school or technical school training with courses in computer-aided drafting or equivalent experience.
2+ years’ experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Technical knowledge of CAD operations and engineering specialty discipline
Effective communication skills both oral and written
Effective interpersonal skills with coworkers
Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur in project needs
Strong technical background in drainage, roadway and utility design as they apply to single family residential, multifamily and commercial projects
The candidate should have some familiarity with the permitting requirements of the local municipalities, state and federal agencies

Responsibilities

Creates CAD drawings for engineering projects
Creates and modifies maps for special assignments
Creates plan and profile sheets plus CAD file exhibits
Completes redline markups
Performs work as assigned from sketches, verbal instructions, and notes
Establishes and maintains schedules and offers progress reports
Maintains current knowledge of design and drafting procedures in specialty field
Perform work based on the Project Manager's requirements and have the ability to follow guidelines
Prepare construction drawings for residential development projects by preparing master plans and plan and profile sheets using Civil 3D and ability to use all the design tools within the Civil 3D software package to design the storm sewer and utilities associated with the plan and profile sheets.
Conduct effective communication with project teams and management.
