About The Position
The Technician II (Formulation) formulates custom oligonucleotides according to customer specifications. The work generally includes quantification, final packaging, and QC sampling of products. The role is part of the Long Oligo Value Stream at Integrated DNA Technologies in Coralville, Iowa, and is performed onsite. The position reports to the Supervisor, Long Oligo and works Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Some laboratory experience.
- Proficiency with a variety of PC software programs and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Nice To Haves
- An associate degree or higher.
- 12 months of laboratory experience; life science work experience is preferred.
- Extensive computer skills, including knowledge of the Internet, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.
Responsibilities
- Use automated and manual laboratory equipment accurately, including performing limited maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Translate order requirements into a process for formulating oligos to customer specifications.
- Accurately assess QC data and make pass/fail decisions for oligos.
- Quantify, package, and collect QC samples for products being made.
