The Technician II (Synthesis) is responsible for synthesizing custom oligonucleotides according to the customer’s specifications. This generally includes quantification, final packaging, and QC sampling of the products being made. This position reports to the Supervisor, Rachel Curry and is part of the Tubes N Formulated Research Products Value Stream located in Coralville, IA, and will be an on-site role. Shift: Monday - Thursday, 9PM-7:30AM

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a science related field or eighteen months of lab experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency with computer skills with the ability to accurately use SOPs/aids in the safety minded production of oligonucleotides

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor degree and life sciences experience, preferred.
  • Performing under stress when confronted with emergent, critical, or unusual situations in which working speed and sustained attention are make-or-break aspects of the job.
  • Performing a variety of duties, often changing from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the manufacturing tasks to transform raw materials into final products including decontamination process, product transfer, and maintenance connection software.
  • Operate instruments in the lab that are needed to complete the tasks by following all work instructions and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Strictly adhere to customer specific as well as general work instructions and SOPs.
  • Support daily management: assessment to drive problem solving with data and suggest countermeasures.
