About The Position

This entry-level, hands-on structured cabling role supports data center and commercial construction projects in Fayetteville, Georgia. The technician installs Cat6 and fiber cabling, pulls cable, mounts racks and network hardware, and assists with telecommunications room buildouts. The role offers long-term growth opportunities in the low-voltage and communications industry.

The position is fully onsite in construction and data center environments. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Work involves extended periods of standing, lifting materials, using hand and power tools, and following site safety requirements and PPE guidelines. This is a contract-to-hire role.

Requirements

• Commercial cabling experience.
• Experience pulling and terminating Cat5e/Cat6 cable.
• Basic fiber optic knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints and work in construction environments.
• Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with rack-and-stack, cable tray, and telecommunications installations.

Responsibilities

• Pull, route, terminate, and test Cat6 cabling.
• Assist with fiber optic cable installation and handling.
• Install cable tray, conduit, racks, patch panels, and network equipment.
• Build and organize telecommunications rooms and data center spaces.
• Read blueprints and follow project specifications.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Maintain quality standards, cable labeling, and documentation.
• Follow all site safety requirements and PPE guidelines.
