About The Position

The Lead Structured Cabling Technician installs and tests structured cabling infrastructure, completes installation documentation and quality assurance reports, and conducts site surveys. The role plans tasks and coordinates with project managers and engineers while leading and managing a field crew of installers. Work may involve lifting up to 60 pounds, confined spaces, heights, and varying temperatures. Pre-hire drug screening, background checks, and DMV checks are required. Compensation is $20–$28 per hour, depending on experience and ability.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience in low-voltage or telecommunications.
Experience with LAN, inter-building backbone, security, and audio/video cabling.
Proficiency with industry-recognized certification tools, test equipment, and processes.
Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; perform basic math; and distinguish industry color codes.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying temperatures.
Verifiable experience and character references are required.
Successful completion of pre-hire drug screening, background checks, and DMV checks.
