About The Position

Microchip Technology Inc. is hiring a Technician I-Product/Test for its Mount Holly Springs facility, which designs, manufactures, and markets Frequency Control, Sensor, and Hybrid Product solutions. The facility's products support satellite constellations, deep space exploration, military systems, GPS, communication networks, and other applications. The role performs automated product testing, evaluates test results, and helps troubleshoot test, equipment, and product issues. On-the-job training and the tools, resources, and support needed for success are provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Quality- and safety-minded.
• Detail-oriented with organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Basic PC and math skills, and product knowledge.
• Basic electronic/electrical knowledge or understanding.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• 0–2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, or mechanical environment; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, read, and interpret process documentation to perform a variety of automated testing.
• Interpret test data to determine pass/fail results.
• Troubleshoot test failures, equipment malfunctions, and product issues to determine root causes and support corrective actions.
• Operate test equipment, including a multimeter, and automated test systems.
• Perform basic soldering of surface-mount components.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
