About The Position

The Product Technician supports manufacturing operations in Karman Space & Defense’s Hypersonics and Strategic Missile Defense business. The role works with composite structures and produces assemblies, performing processes such as tape wrapping, cutting, compression molding, and hand layup. The technician helps ensure products meet specifications through accurate measurement, inspection, and adherence to documented procedures, while supporting efficient production flow on the manufacturing floor. The position also involves maintaining equipment, following blueprints and instructions, completing production documentation, and supporting daily operations. The first shift runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The position requires U.S. person status under U.S. export control laws. No travel is required.

Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to perform repetitive motion.
2 to 3 years of experience.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Must meet U.S. person status requirements under U.S. export control laws, including U.S. citizens and nationals, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees.

Responsibilities

Complete work orders and travelers according to production schedules.
Apply ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards in daily work.
Perform tape wrapping, cutting, compression molding, and hand layup processes for composite materials.
Measure and visually inspect products using precision instruments to confirm conformance to specifications.
Mix and measure resin and adhesive materials.
Adjust oven temperature controls and review blueprints or instructions to determine methods or sequences.
Maintain production and processing equipment.
Perform upper-body mobility tasks, including bending, using arms and hands, and standing for extended periods.
