Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum 5 years of experience as an I&E Technician in a chemical plant, refinery, or similar industrial manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of NFPA 70E and safe electrical work practices in industrial environments.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, perform root cause analysis, and apply strategic problem-solving skills.
Proficient with I&E hand tools, meters, calibration equipment, and interpreting P&IDs and schematic wiring diagrams.
Strong organizational, planning, computer, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work overtime, holidays, weekends, and participate in on-call rotations as needed to support plant operations.
Capable of performing physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders/heights, working in confined spaces, wearing respiratory protection, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

NCCER Industrial Electrical and/or Instrumentation certification preferred.
Experience with DCS and SIS systems preferred, along with strong knowledge of electrical systems, motors, and instrumentation equipment.

Responsibilities

Maintain a strong commitment to personal safety, environmental awareness, and compliance with company safety procedures and regulations.
Troubleshoot, calibrate, maintain, and repair pneumatic, electronic, analog, and digital process control instrumentation and analytical equipment.
Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on low-voltage electrical systems up to 480VAC, including motor controls, control valves, and electrical distribution systems.
Read and interpret SWDs, P&IDs, electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and ladder logic to diagnose and resolve equipment and process issues.
Complete repair history, calibration records, modifications, and work order documentation accurately within the CMMS system and related software.
Conduct installation, calibration, testing, and minor field design work for electrical and instrumentation systems, including conduit and tubing installation.
Support plant operations through preventive maintenance, functional testing, factory acceptance testing, and communication of abnormal operating conditions.
Provide technical assistance and safety oversight for contractors while ensuring compliance with site procedures and standards.
Participate in on-call responsibilities, training initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
