This position requires the ability to understand and apply knowledge in electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic instrumentation technologies. The role involves reading schematics and diagrams, understanding calibration and specification sheets, and recognizing standard symbols. A strong understanding of electrical and electronic units of measurement, basic components, and pneumatic principles is necessary. The technician will troubleshoot motors, contactors, transformers, relays, and lighting systems, and identify power quality problems. Responsibilities include bench repair of instruments and components, inspecting and replacing power cords and cables, and using appropriate test equipment and soldering techniques. The role also involves understanding and calibrating pneumatic and electronic transmitters for level measurement, connecting sensors and transducers, and potentially installing and maintaining truck loading, additive injection, and pipeline proving and control systems. A basic understanding of Cathodic Protection is also required. This position is hourly nonexempt and eligible for overtime pay.
