About The Position

The (USA) Technician, General Facilities Maintenance, is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment. This role involves diagnosing issues, conducting repairs across multiple trades including plumbing and electrical, managing work orders, and coordinating with contractors while adhering to regulatory standards. The technician applies expertise to support business needs, maintain compliance with safety regulations, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Requirements

  • Proven experience in preventive maintenance and facility repair to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
  • Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, plumbing systems, and use of hand and power tools for repairs.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and commitment to compliance.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor coordination.
  • Capability to document maintenance activities accurately and recommend repair or replacement needs.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and support business objectives.
  • Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade or 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program
  • License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located
  • Using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures following established schedules and guidelines.
  • Inspect, clean, and repair facilities equipment or fixtures, documenting signs of wear and recommending necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Conduct major and minor repairs using multiple craft skills including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, utilizing hand and power tools.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and document all repair activities accurately.
  • Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA and EPA regulations while maintaining facility operational standards.
