About The Position

The (USA) Technician, General Facilities Maintenance, is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance and repairs to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities and equipment. This role involves diagnosing issues, conducting repairs across multiple trades, managing work orders, and coordinating with contractors while adhering to regulatory standards. The technician supports continuous improvement efforts by applying expertise to maintenance processes, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines, and contributing to operational efficiency. Strong attention to detail and effective communication with stakeholders are essential to maintaining high-quality facility standards. The Facility Services Food Equipment team is dedicated to maintaining and repairing commercial foodservice equipment to ensure reliable and safe operation. Team members apply skills in electrical diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and equipment repair to address service needs efficiently. They collaborate to troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and manage maintenance schedules while following safety and regulatory standards. Requirements

  • Proven experience in preventive maintenance and facility repair to ensure safety and operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, repairs, and power tool operation for timely issue resolution.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to accurately diagnose and address equipment problems.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor coordination effectively.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations to maintain compliance and uphold quality standards.
  • Capability to document maintenance activities and recommend repair or replacement needs based on inspections.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade or 5 years' experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program
  • License in related trade in city and/or state where job is located
  • Using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure safety, functionality, and appearance of facilities, equipment, and fixtures.
  • Inspect, clean, and repair facilities equipment, documenting signs of wear and recommending necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Conduct major and minor repairs using multiple craft skills, including electrical diagnostics, plumbing, carpentry, and power tool operation.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and document all repair activities accurately.
  • Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractor compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Order parts, track expenses, and maintain maintenance logs in accordance with regulatory requirements.
