About The Position

The Mixer, Solution an Salary Non-Exempt position which contributes to our mission of saving and sustaining lives by weighing and blending raw materials to create IV therapies, premixed drugs, renal therapies and other sterile solutions. This role involves working in a Class I Controlled Environment with specific dress/gowning requirements, intermittent exposure to elevated noise levels, working around moving equipment, and the ability to work in confined spaces. Occasional work with extremely hot water and steam, and handling of corrosive chemical solutions, powders, and pharmaceutical drugs requiring special garb and equipment is also part of the role. The position requires occasional work with chemical cleaners and disinfectants.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have basic English written and oral communication skills adequate to communicate with other team members.
  • Understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions and read and comprehend written work instructions including words and drawings.
  • Must be able to perform basic mathematics.
  • Possess or be able to obtain Worksaver Operator Certification.
  • Have basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, clean and re-palletize raw materials received from the warehouse.
  • Following standardized formulas, apportion, measure, weigh, label and stage raw materials.
  • Using a powered industrial truck (PIT), transport staged materials to the assigned mixing tank.
  • Pump or manually blend raw materials into a chemical solution mixing tank.
  • Perform and document scheduled cleaning activities which include using a ladder and safety harness to climb into mixing tanks in order to clean the inside of the vessel.
  • Navigate the computerized Production Operating Management System (POMS) to access, manage and document batch information throughout the entire mixing process.
  • Obtain samples & perform scheduled quality checks.
  • Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur.
  • Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.
