About The Position

This role supports daily formulation and laboratory operations within a regulated production environment. Responsibilities include precise batch preparation, accurate documentation, and strict adherence to QA, HSE, and Health Canada requirements. The position plays a key role in maintaining product quality, managing materials and lab readiness, and contributing to process improvements and production efficiency. Ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong science background who thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven setting.

Requirements

  • Minimum BSc. Required.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety while operating process equipment.
  • Positive attitude with strong communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills including ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Shows initiative and ownership of work and willingness to learn.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Physically fit; standing and/or sitting will be required for long periods of time and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to pass a criminal background check.
  • Must be able to work various shift schedules as required.
  • Must be able to don all required PPE (respirators, goggles, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience within Cannabis industry is preferred.
  • Previous formulation experience within the cannabis industry preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely batch record completion with high accuracy.
  • Follow SOPs pertaining to all formulation processes.
  • Manage inventory of processing material and necessary lab supplies and notify leadership of order replenishment.
  • Perform sanitation activities as per GPP requirements.
  • Perform formulation tasks as assigned by manager in accordance to relevant SOPs; formulations include precise mixing of cannabinoids, carrier oils, terpenes and otherwise.
  • Adhere to all SOPs for the operation, QA and HSE.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with QA requirements during day-to-day activities.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and report issues in order to maximize efficiency, quality and yield while ensuring safety and reliability.
  • Train & Signoff all new employees or contractors as required.
  • Active participation in leading KPI discussion and achieve daily KPI production goals and indicate limitations in processes.
  • Lead submissions on monthly inventory reconciliation.
  • Sample preparation and submission for all required analytical testing to third party labs.
  • Detailed record keeping of batch data per Health Canada regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.
