This position is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure the safety, proper functionality, and aesthetics of facilities, equipment, or fixtures. The role involves inspecting, cleaning, and repairing facilities, equipment, or fixtures, observing and documenting signs of wear and tear, and gathering capital expense information. The technician will recommend repair needs, determine replacement needs, and document preventive maintenance activities. They will also manage work orders, maintenance schedules, and contractors, conduct price comparisons, order and track parts, and submit warranty claims. Compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations is essential, ensuring quality work that meets federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company quality standards. The role requires safe operation of motor vehicles and heavy machinery, including forklifts and material handling equipment, with pre-operation safety checks and post-operation inspections. The technician will also lead and participate in teams, develop and implement processes, and demonstrate compliance with company policies and ethical standards. This includes respecting individuals, working as a team, communicating effectively, and strengthening the team through development and recognition.
