About The Position

This role is essential for maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of food equipment in Walmart stores, contributing to overall store performance and customer satisfaction. The technician will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing commercial food equipment, performing preventative maintenance, training store associates on equipment care, and managing documentation. They will service a variety of food equipment, grease and oil systems, and utilize skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment maintenance.

Requirements

• Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing commercial food equipment.
• Ability to develop and adhere to maintenance schedules.
• Capability to train Store Associates on equipment care and cleaning.
• Competence in managing work orders and maintenance logs.
• Clear, transparent, and respectful communication.
• Ability to handle changing and competing demands.
• Strong collaborative skills and belief in Servant Leadership.
• Vocational or technical certification and 2 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area.
• License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
