About The Position

The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services-DOT, is responsible for managing exterior facility operations while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards. This role involves coordinating maintenance activities, operating heavy machinery, and overseeing seasonal services such as snow and ice management. Promote a safe environment, and contribute to continuous improvements aligned with Walmart’s operational goals. Our team delivers comprehensive landscape and exterior maintenance services to ensure safe, clean, and well-maintained facilities. We manage seasonal tasks such as snow and ice removal, equipment operation, and facility upgrades while adhering to safety and environmental standards. The team collaborates closely with management and third-party providers to maintain quality and efficiency. By focusing on continuous improvement and compliance, we support a productive work environment and contribute to the overall upkeep and enhancement of Walmart properties.

Requirements

21 years of age or older.
Valid state-issued driver’s license.
No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
Successful completion of a DOT physical and medical certification pre-hire.
As required by section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language.
2 years’ experience in the landscaping/gardening industry

Nice To Haves

Able to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification during pre-hire contingency and be able to maintain a minimum of a 90 day Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) card
Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area.
Experience in third-party management.
Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Proficient in speaking and understanding Spanish.
State/local licensing where required (for example, Florida, Texas, California, etc).

Responsibilities

Operate and maintain facility exterior equipment, including heavy machinery and vehicles, ensuring safety and compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
Perform seasonal exterior maintenance such as snow and ice management to maintain safe facility conditions.
Lead and coach third-party providers, conduct quality inspections, and ensure completed work meets safety and quality standards.
