Technician Drop I - Glo Fiber
About The Position
Glo Fiber is seeking a Technician Drop I to install broadband service drops for connecting customer homes and businesses. This role involves working with both aerial and buried drops, operating equipment like vibratory plows/trenchers, reading and creating schematics/diagrams, and boring under sidewalks and driveways. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work efficiently and independently to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work, successfully completing drop installations and broadband service activations. Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED
- 0-2 Years of Field Operations or Construction related experience.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to carry and climb a 28' ladder from truck to pole and/or house.
- Ability to work in an array of weather conditions.
- Walking, sitting, kneeling & crouching for extended periods.
- Driving.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and develop skills and knowledge for installing broadband service drops (aerial and buried).
- Operate a vibratory plow/trencher.
- Read, create, and maintain schematics/diagrams.
- Bore under sidewalks and driveways when appropriate.
- Work efficiently and independently to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
- Successfully complete drop installation and broadband service activations for customer homes and businesses.
