About The Position

The Technician C assists skilled workers with skilled and semi-skilled laboratory work under close supervision. The role includes cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment using skilled or semi-skilled knowledge, and performing repetitive work to produce deliverable hardware after adequate training. Work involves manual skills and operating simple automated or semi-automated equipment. The technician carefully documents their work according to work-unit policy, by hand or with common computer-based software, under close supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months of applicable experience.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Attention to detail.
• General understanding of engineering practices.
• Proficiency with MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain equipment under close supervision.
• Operate simple equipment to produce hardware using manual skills under close supervision.
• Document work according to work-unit policy under close supervision.
• Complete focused training to support progression into higher-skilled positions, at the supervisor’s discretion.
• Perform other temporary assignments at the supervisor’s discretion.
