About The Position

The Technician C assists skilled workers with skilled and semi-skilled laboratory work under close supervision. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment, operating simple automated or semi-automated equipment, and performing repetitive work to produce deliverable hardware after adequate training. The role requires manual skills and careful documentation of work, by hand or with common computer software, consistent with work-unit policy. The position is based in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months of applicable experience.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Attention to detail.
• General understanding of engineering practices.
• Proficiency with MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain equipment under close supervision.
• Operate simple equipment and use manual skills in hardware production under close supervision.
• Document work according to work-unit policy under close supervision.
• Complete focused training to enable progression to higher-skilled positions at the supervisor’s discretion.
• Perform other temporary assignments at the supervisor’s discretion.
