About The Position

This role supports building staff in implementing specially designed instruction to improve outcomes for students with challenging behavior and provides positive behavior supports. The technician will assist school staff in implementing behavior intervention plans and provide behavioral supports to students. Additionally, they will coach SE&O paraprofessional staff serving students with behavioral challenges and model and coach school staff on the use of positive multi-tiered systems of supports and replacement strategies/re-direction. The position also involves consulting with the school’s problem-solving process to improve outcomes for students with behavioral challenges, attending required meetings and in-services, and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Completion of Associate’s or BA/BS Degree in education, special education, child development, psychology or related field, or 1 – 3 years of related experience is required
  • The ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance

  • A valid Colorado driver’s license and car with appropriate insurance.

Responsibilities
