RELIEF Technician Assistant
About The Position
The Technician Assistant supports the Doctors and Technician team and helps create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients. The role involves assisting with veterinary medical care and providing compassionate care for boarded and hospitalized pets. The position offers exposure to a diverse and stimulating caseload, advanced imaging and monitoring tools, and the expertise of VCA doctors and boarded specialists. VCA also offers opportunities for continuing education, transfer, specialization, and leadership development. The work is generally performed in an office environment. Responsibilities
- Maintain medical records.
- Prepare the surgical suite and surgical patients.
- Fill prescriptions.
- Perform laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
- Provide compassionate care for boarded and hospitalized pets.
- Support Doctors and the Technician team in creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients.
