About The Position

Caliber Collision is hiring a Technician Apprentice Program (TAP) – Body Apprentice to learn and perform duties involved in returning damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition using industry-approved repair techniques. The apprentice is responsible for learning the program’s training material and hands-on skills, following a mentor’s direction, and learning to read estimates, identify damage, repair vehicles, and check work for quality and accuracy. No prior experience is required; the program provides training toward a career as a body technician.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under Caliber’s insurance policy.
• Be able to perform consistent physical activity, including reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
• Be able to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Be able to prioritize competing tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous collision experience.
• Collision Vo-Tech certification.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform duties involved in repairing damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition using industry-approved repair techniques.
• Take responsibility for learning all training material and hands-on skills.
• Follow a mentor’s direction while learning to read estimates, identify damage, and repair vehicles.
• Check repair work for quality and accuracy.
• Complete required training and certifications relating to TAP.
