About The Position

Aggreko is hiring a Technician 2 Temp Control or Power based at its Dallas, Texas service center. The technician performs preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors, and troubleshoots equipment failures in the shop. Depending on the work, the technician may work independently or with other technicians to set up and operate equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 7 years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
• Ability to read and understand schematics.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically weighing less than 75 pounds.
• May be required, based on customer requirements, to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Availability to work the assigned schedule, travel to work locations if needed, and be on standby outside regularly scheduled shifts.
• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods and walk over uneven terrain with functional balance without special assistive devices.
• Ability to move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion to work safely from ground or floor level to full overhead level.
• Good finger dexterity, functional hand-eye coordination, and adequate grip strength to safely handle tools and hold stair railings or ladders.
• Ability to meet the physical demands outlined in the Essential Physical Capacities Assessment and pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment, including lifting 60 pounds, pushing/pulling 80 pounds, carrying 60 pounds, climbing stairs and ladders, climbing while carrying objects weighing 15 pounds, and stooping, kneeling, and squatting.

• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop.
• Set up and operate equipment in the shop, independently or with other technicians.
