About The Position
Aggreko is hiring a Technician 1 Power in Reno, Nevada, to support natural gas solutions at a South Valley data center customer site. The technician works independently and as part of a team in shops and at customer locations to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products. The role includes maintaining equipment readiness, reducing downtime, and completing work efficiently while promoting safe working conditions and complying with applicable QHSE requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Obtain and maintain certifications required to operate equipment under applicable federal, state, and local ordinances.
- Technical aptitude with generators, industrial HVAC equipment, air compressors, electrical distribution, power generation, load banks, and/or BESS products.
- Familiarity with hand tools, automotive lubrication and oil changes, troubleshooting, and testing.
- Ability to perform physical work and resolve technical problems, including willingness to work hands-on and interact with internal and external customers.
- Ability to work across multiple product types and perform varied technical work.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and moderate repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
- Troubleshoot extensive equipment failures at the shop or customer locations, test equipment, and complete repairs independently or with other technicians.
- Complete required paperwork accurately and on time, including data entry and use of relevant computer systems and software.
- Lead moderate job-site setups and mentor lower-level technicians.
- Maintain knowledge of, practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
- Comply with Aggreko QHSE policies, procedures, objectives, local laws, and assigned QHSE training requirements.
- Support equipment readiness, minimize downtime, and improve turnaround speed.
