Technical Writer
About The Position
The main purpose of the technical writer is to create automotive technical documentations and technical service bulletins. As a Technical Writer, you will be expected to succeed at the following tasks: Improve processes to enable technical documentation and complex technical information across all products and repair procedures, HMA engineers and dealers. Write technical documentation and Technical Service Bulletins (“TSB”). Track TSB progress from initial draft, HMA approval and issuance to dealers. Analyse and maintain TSB documents for content, style, and format standards. Manage TSB updates, revisions and variety of media forms that include images and graphs for ease of understanding. Perform TSB procedure to validate usability test and accuracy. Review historical TSB database and generate any Hyundai/Genesis TSBs when applicable.
Requirements
- High School graduate
- Proven experience working in a technical writing position
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe programs
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical/problem solving ability
- Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
- Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
Nice To Haves
- Preferred bachelor’s degree
- Automotive technical knowledge is highly desirable
