About The Position
HUD is seeking a Technical Writer to articulate the value and impact of their AI data infrastructure. This role involves translating customer and partner successes, product advancements, and research findings into clear, technically sound content. The goal is to educate AI engineers, researchers, and technical leaders about HUD's platform and its significance. The ideal candidate will be adept at engaging with technical audiences and conveying complex information effectively.
Requirements
- A portfolio showcasing technical depth, clear explanations, and strong storytelling, including at least one piece of technical writing. A portfolio link is required with the application.
- Sufficient technical fluency to engage in discussions with AI engineers, researchers, and technical customers/partners and ask pertinent questions.
- Strong research and interviewing skills to convert technical conversations and materials into compelling narratives.
- Excellent editorial judgment regarding reader relevance, argument structuring, and the effective use of diagrams, examples, or demos.
- Ability to manage projects from ambiguous briefs to polished drafts, incorporate technical feedback, and handle multiple content pieces concurrently.
- Genuine enthusiasm for frontier models and for telling HUD's story.
- Comfort working with technical customers and partners and explaining technical substance without losing the reader.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with RL, environments, evals, benchmarks, or post-training data.
- Experience publishing case studies or technical content for AI/ML products, developer tools, or infrastructure companies.
- A history of writing engaging social content or ghostwriting for technical founders.
- Hands-on experience with technical products, code, or demos, and proficient use of AI tools for research and writing.
Responsibilities
- Write technically accurate content across various formats, including customer and partner case studies, technical articles, product explainers, launch materials, and social media posts (X and LinkedIn).
- Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal experts to understand their work, technical details, and outcomes, transforming interviews, demos, and results into well-supported narratives.
- Develop a deep understanding of HUD's platform and marketplace to explain its products, research, and customer workflows.
- Assist founders and the team in communicating product vision, technical insights, and platform achievements in HUD's brand voice.
- Propose new content ideas and formats, manage the content lifecycle from drafting to publication, and utilize reader engagement data and GTM team feedback for continuous improvement.
